IFS Therapy for Trauma

IFS Therapy for Trauma

Trauma can show up in different ways and can deeply impact how you move through the world and relate to yourself and others.

You may struggle in your waking hours with anxiety, depression, exhaustion, or dissociation. Restful sleep may be difficult, and basic self-care a challenge.

Or maybe you struggle with perfectionism and self-criticism, but are starting to feel burned out.

You want to feel better, but you’re not sure how to move forward.

Whether you are new to therapy or looking for a different approach to understanding yourself, I provide a compassionate presence if you are feeling challenged with any of the following:

  • PTSD and complex PTSD

  • Dissociation

  • Borderline personality disorder

  • Child, sibling, or partner of a narcissist

  • Depression and anxiety

In addition to trauma, I also provide care for co-occurring conditions such as eating disorders and addictive processes including substance abuse, gambling, etc.

How an IFS Therapist Can Help

As an IFS trauma therapist, I guide you in getting to know all the parts of you.

The parts that are anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, dissociated. The parts that are perfectionistic, overachieving, or critical. And the parts that want you to be kinder to yourself and want to feel more ease in your life.

At a pace that feels safe for you, we begin the journey of learning what these parts worry about, how they are trying to help you move through life, and what they are protecting.

In the process of befriending your parts, the healing begins.
