As a mindfulness-based Gestalt therapist, Linda T. Watts, LMSW,CASAC, works with clients to help them understand how experiences affect them in the present moment. Using a present-centered approach, she helps those who are struggling with various issues to attain harmony. Rather than analyzing potential outcomes of past situations, Ms. Watts helps individuals to work toward change by bringing awareness to their present body state, and how they are living and working in current circumstances.
Ms. Watts brings over 25 years of training, clinical expertise, and working in the fields of substance abuse, addictions, eating disorders, and family therapy. She became a Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in 1985, and earned her Masters in Social Work (MSW) from New York University, Silver School of Social Work in 1995. She then continued to become trained Gestalt Therapy from 2007-2009. Her extensive experience in working with individuals affected by addictions formed her private practice where she provides psychotherapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families.
